I get used to the kinds of name tags we manufacture here at Name Tag, Inc., that I forget about the others. Humankind comes in lots of shapes and sizes and are made for various purposes. The same can be said for name tags.

I came across two articles this week that testify to the unique ways name tags are made/used in our neat world.

1. One man’s commentary on his tender experiences with gift name tags. It’s sweet.

2. Name tags on trees. No joke.

Reading stuff like this reminds me to think outside my little current name tag box and remember that there’s so much more out there. And I’m not only talking about name tags; I’m talking about everything. It’s good to change things up.  I think we all get trapped in our little worlds and routines. Let us learn a little more. Go beyond the status quo. Stretch ourselves.

As we soon embark on 2012, I hope that we can become more enlightened people, full of desires to grow and become better.

I have always loved learning about different places and cultures. I get a high from meeting people who hail from outside the 50 states. It’s a thrill to learn and understand new ways of living—different customs and traditions. What can I say? I’m a diversity diva.

This morning, my Google Alerts brought up this story on Fox News about a particular hotel staff in Maryland that includes place of origin on their name tags.

Book me a room to this hotel! Let me talk to these employees! Maybe not. I would probably keep them from doing their job for being so curious; I’d ask them a bazillion questions about their experiences about coming from interesting places like El Salvador and Trinidad.

But really, I think it’s brilliant that this hotel displays places of origin (some of which are from the good ol’ USA, of course) on their name tags. It’s smart for several reasons: it gives the foreign employees a sense of pride about their home country, it gives hotel patrons the opportunity to have a more “human” connection to the staff, and it increases patron trust
since identification is more specific.

Bottom line?

Name tags with places of origin are cool.

or…

If you’re a hotel manager, hide your staff from me because I’ll be too big of a distraction with my incessant questions.

One of the name tags we made for Morrison Farms Cafeteria.

Morrison Farms Cafeteria, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, recently ordered name tags from Name Tag, Inc. I had the chance to ask General Manager Raphael Carlton a few questions to learn more about the cafeteria’s experience with our company.

Morrison Farms Cafeteria is a cafeteria that serves lunch and dinner everyday.

The name tags prove useful for the establishment.

“We needed name tags for our employees and your product was a perfect fit,” said Carlton.

Carlton also thinks highly of his experience with Name Tag, Inc.

“It was very easy to use your company, the website was very easy to use and the product came very quickly,” he said.

And this won’t be the last time Morrison Farms Cafeteria orders from us.

“If we need additional name tags we will definitely us your company again,” said Carlton.

We look forward to doing future business with Morrison Farms Cafeteria!
