That’s right, folks!

What’s WordCamp?

WordCamp is an event held by WordPress developers in many cities across the globe, to help users become more efficient at blogging. Great for people of all skill ranges and interests, WordCamp is the place to be if you want to know how to use WordPress, the world’s most popular blogging (and regular website) platform.

Anyway, look for another post from me next week outlining the details and highlights of the event. I can’t wait to geek out and get more familiar with this excellent platform.

Name Tag, Inc. Summer Picnic 2010

This last weekend we had our annual summer picnic/party at the SpringMobile Ballpark in downtown Salt Lake City, where the Bees played the River Cats.

We had a little catered BBQ (which was quite tasty) before the game started. Below are some pictures taken by our newest addition to the marketing department: Sara Ann.

Double Down Dip – For Your Health

That’s right. As far as we know (and we haven’t looked), we’re the first to come up with the Double Down Dip.

Our President/Owner, Gary, has taken the instant classic KFC Double Down sandwich and made it an even more delicious (or so I’m told), heart-harming piece of American ingenuity.

The Double Down Dip recipe:

1 Double Down / Double chicken sandwich.
1 side of KFC’s famous gravy.
1 hungry mouth to feed.

Here you’ll see Gary preparing and then eating the creation of a lifetime. A creation which may very well end said lifetime..

1) Get settled.

2) Double dipping is OK.

3) Consume-ate.

Boom. We here at Name Tag, Inc. always believe things can be ‘improved’ upon and taken to the next level. It’s called: being American.

Logo Only and Blank Name Tags

Constructed out of the same materials as our Classic Name Tags, both the Logo Only Classic Name Badges and Blank Name Tags make for excellent reusable tags.

For organizations with high turnover rates, a Logo Only Name Badge is the ideal solution for a traditional name tag look with the versatility to be reused. By having your logo pre-engraved or pre-printed on the badge, you can reuse a previously occupied badge by swapping the name label or by erasing and rewriting a new name with a permanent marker.

Companies with tighter budgets or those with their own printing/engraving machines can save time and money by choosing our Blank Name Tags. Available in both Plastic and Metal, these pre-cut blanks are highly affordable and flexible.

Either way, you’ll have a properly branded reusable name tag — one that you can quickly change in-house, without needing to spend additional time and money to reorder a new badge.

Reusable Name Badges — Reclassification

We’ve recently restructured our classification of Reusable Name Badges – instead of having our Vinyl Name Badges as their own separate product line, called “Name Badges”, these badges have been merged with the rest of the Reusable Badges. We initially separated them from our Reusable Badges due to their unique material type and production process. The new reclassification means that the Reusable Badges now include: the Mighty Badges®, Window Badges, Vinyl Badges and Blank Classic Name Badges (logo only).

Why the change?

1) Our customers have informed us that having all our reusable badges in one location better helps them to make a decision on which product is best for their needs. Having “Name Badges” and “Reusable Name Badges” as separate categories made it more difficult to compare the products of both product lines.

2) The Vinyl Badges have a constant design that remains the same from badge to badge, and though the design doesn’t change, each badge also has a space that allows for each user to personalize their badge with their own information by replacing paper inserts, swapping labels created from a label marker or by handwriting it with a marker. While the Vinyl Badges provide an excellent value as cost-effective personalized name badges, they are ideal for larger orders that don’t have an immediate time constraint.

3) We are trying to keep all of our product classifications consistent between our web site and our marketing collateral. Our upcoming product catalog also has the Vinyl line listed as a Reusable Name Badge product.

In addition to the relocation, we made some changes to the Vinyl Badges:

1) Introducing a new digital full color process: instead of paying a per-color charge for each additional color, which can be quite costly when you have multiple colors, there is now a flat per unit charge and $45.00 setup. The full color process also now allows for blends and gradients, perfect for more complex, photo-like printing.

2) The Vinyl Armbands have been discontinued. We have, however, added a new product, Bathing Tags – which are ideal for pools, beaches and other outdoor recreation uses.

With six unique styles to choose from, the Vinyl Badges are the ideal low-cost reusable name badge.

Classic Name Tags: Next Day Production & Standard 4 Hour Proof Times

Introducing shortened production times and four hour proof times; now available as the standard options on all of our styles of Classic Name Tags.

We’ve reduced the production times on all of our Classic Name Tags — next day production is now standard.

In addition to the reduction of the standard production time, we’ve lowered the standard proof time from two business days to four business hours. The revamped proof times are now standard and free of charge.

We realize that your workday is busy and filled with plenty of other pressing priorities, which is why we want to make the name tag ordering process as simple and hassle-free as possible. With our faster production and proof times, you’ll receive your proof within 4 business hours to make any necessary changes.

Simply provide acceptable artwork and a properly formatted list of names with your order and approve the provided proof by 5:30 Mountain Time for next day production. If you don’t have acceptable/vectorized artwork we can convert or clean your artwork for a one-time $30.00 conversion charge — please note, this process requires an additional 24 hours, in addition to the standard 4 hours for a proof.

Silver Metal Name Tags

Metal Name Tags have been a great choice for those customers looking for nicer-looking, higher class name tags. Unfortunately, we had initially been unable to provide Silver, the one material color you’d expect to see in a metal name tag, due to the material’s inability to be engraved in high enough quality to meet our standards for clarity and sharpness.

Realizing many customers would expect to be able to order a Silver Metal Name Tag, largely due to customers telling us, we began researching and testing metal materials, trying to find at least one Silver material that would pass our high standards for quality. Now, we’re proud to be able to offer our customers the option of a Silver Metal Name Tag, in the ‘Satin Silver with Smoke Grey Text’ material.

Mighty Badges – White Metal Plates

Just added: White metal plates to the Mighty Badge reusable name tag product line. You can now select up to three different colors for the Mighty Badge product: white, silver or gold.

The new white plate also helps to bypass the inability to reproduce the color white on the dye-sublimation process for a preprinted logo. While we still can’t print the white on your logo, with a white metal plate, any portion of your logo that contains white will appear in the color of the white back plate.
