Having raced for 10 years in the National Reno Air Races, the team has seen a lot throughout the years. The crew and our sponsors continue grow, and our race aircraft evolves weekly with new additions and tweaks here and there. This is all to be expected of a race team, but did you know that the McDonald Racer Team was not always known by the “McDonald Racer” aircraft….
Check out our team timeline below and our racing stats below to learn more about our history… (Click on the Timeline to see larger / clearer image)

Due to engine problems the Thumper, Race 12, could not complete the race. Zayac was given the “Dagger” award as the new racer |
Although there is bound to be a number of changes over time, the majority of our crew has been around for the races since day one, and our race pilot John Zayac, has always raced for the team.
We’re excited to see what 2010 brings, and we can’t wait to let you guys know how we do!

Thousands of Shoes Collected During Event
-Roswell, GA
On Saturday-February 20th, volunteers and donors came together and opened their hearts by giving of their soles for the 2nd annual Healthy Notions “Show Love with Your Soles” shoe drive campaign.
Because of the phenomenal response to the shoe drive effort, Healthy Notions was able to far exceed the initial goal of 10,000 pairs of shoes for the orphaned children in Haiti. During the shoe drive finale event, the organization collected over 30,000 pair and they are still counting!

Greetings, the CCSF DMI Program is an esteemed Radiology Program in Northern California. Recently, the cuts to our California State budget have left our educational program with a 17% decrease in operational funding. As a result, we are being forced to cancel or combine classes and function without necessary equipment. In an effort to assist, two of our educators have agreed to take on additional responsibilities without any financial compensation.
Due to the financial crises, the students on CCSF DMI Program had to make due with lack of supplies that will help them be successful radiologic technologist.
One of these supplies are lanyards to help them get into their clinical hospitals. These lanyards will provide them the ness. materials that will allow them to succeed in the DMI Program.
We are extremely grateful that NameTag has stepped up to the plate and donated these much needed Lanyards! Thank you !
PS: Photos will be forthcoming ! =)
Hounds of the Heartland (GPA/Central Oklahoma) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is a non-profit humane organization dedicated to finding loving, responsible homes for both retired racing greyhounds that can no longer compete and for young greyhounds not placed on the racetrack. Our aim is to let the public know what excellent, loving pets these noble dogs make.
Greyhounds are known for their very gentle, quiet and friendly dispositions. Since they are retired racing dogs, there is a common misconception that they would be high strung and extremely active but it is actually very much the opposite. At our events they typically lie down or sleep the entire time! Greyhounds typically do not bark or shed and they are wonderful with children.

This weekend was one of the most amazing fundraisers ever created, Dance Marathon 2010. This year 123 committee members worked hard to put on this event. This weekend our work continued as thousands of people were able to experience this extraordinary event. This year we had over 800 dancers, hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of moralers. Not to mention many many special guests that included celebrities, media outlets, and most importantly representatives and children from our beneficiaries. This year we raised a grand total of $407,223.73!!!! This is the largest amount we have ever raised in our 9 years of Dance Marathon at UCLA! We would like to thank Name Tag again for helping us out with this event. It is only with generous companies like Name Tag, Inc. that allow us to have such a successful event.

Dance Marathon at UCLA is the largest student-organized philanthropic event on the West Coast. It seeks to unite the campus and the surrounding LA community in the fight against pediatric AIDS and to spread awareness about the disease by putting on a 26 hour dance-o-thon on February 13-14th. With the support of donors and sponsors, Dance Marathon has raised nearly 1.4 million dollars for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF), the worldwide leader in the fight against pediatric AIDS, and the summer camps, Project Kindle and OneHeartland. In 2009, Dance Marathon united over 2,500 supporters and grossed $385,000 in financial contributions.
Now in its ninth consecutive year of operation, Dance Marathon has established itself as a tradition on the UCLA campus and in the Los Angeles community. Still a young organization, DM is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to unite students, community activists, celebrities and leaders around the cause of pediatric AIDS. This year, Dance Marathon at UCLA anticipates another monumental celebration of campus unity, entertainment, energy, education, and an ongoing commitment to the cause.
We would like to thank Name Tag, Inc. for their donation of 1100 badge holders! Without companies like them our event would not be possible.

Aarin & Name Tag, Inc were so generous in donating to our annual Louisiana Student Nurses Association Convention! As our home base was wiped out during Hurricane Katrina, we had little funds to hold our annual convention, during which student nurses from around the state convene to network, socialize, and learn about opportunities in nursing! Name Tag, Inc. donated $300 worth of ribbons, helping to make our convention a success!! Thanks Aarin & NT, Inc!!!
