In 2003, in the area of Turlock/Modesto, California, Sandy Merchant just wanted to make a personal pin from her grandmother’s keepsake cameo. She also wanted to fashion this pin with a magnetic back, so she would not have to use a pin to pierce her clothing. So with the artistic help of her very dear friend, Beth Qualle, Beth Sandy Creations was born.
They were able to secure a fair amount of jewelry to recycle in their new business. Each piece is an original, one of a kind custom pin. Every pin is a workmanship of love and art. They also decided if someone wants to take their own personal keepsakes, they would love to craft a pin for them.
Since starting in 2003, we have done home shows, craft shows, and private showings in our studio. We are a partnership of two, and we love re-purposing old and unused jewelry. Our goal is to have a website to sell our products. We are very small, but proud of our one of a kind pieces that we sell. We create pins to wear by re-purposing old jewelry. The magnets were with the idea that you need not damage or hurt your clothes by wearing one of our jewelry pieces. You can wear on anything – leather, silk, etc. Your products are an important part for our jewelry. We have never had our pins fall off of clothing; they are very strong. We do provide the warning for pacemakers, but have never encountered any problems. We could never have a superior product without your magnets. They are what make our jewelry pieces unique.
