The Autism Society of NH was started as a parent support group in the mid 1970’s. As the group grew more organized, they became the official chapter of the Autism Society of America for the state of NH. Over the 30+ years in operation, the organization has continued to evolve and improve. We have come a long way from our support group beginnings, and have moved into a leadership position in the state, working collaboratively with key stakeholders; including families, other state organizations, area agencies, legislators, schools, and the general community. We have also worked to establish a national voice with our parent organization. Meanwhile, we maintain our grassroots foundation and focus on people.

The Autism Society of NH stays committed to our mission of “Improving the lives of all affected by autism through education, advocacy, and support”. We disseminate information, make referrals, offer guidance and resources, provide training, speak at workshops and events, advocate, and work to strengthen the infrastructure of our state.

The Autism Society of New Hampshire is dedicated to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Individuals with ASD have the right and capability to pursue happiness, make meaningful choices, and realize their full potential. Through education, advocacy, and support the Society hopes to foster the understanding, unqualified acceptance, and genuine appreciation of individuals with ASD.
