Dance Marathon at UCLA is the largest student-organized philanthropic event on the West Coast. It seeks to unite the campus and the surrounding LA community in the fight against pediatric AIDS and to spread awareness about the disease by putting on a 26 hour dance-o-thon on February 13-14th. With the support of donors and sponsors, Dance Marathon has raised nearly 1.4 million dollars for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF), the worldwide leader in the fight against pediatric AIDS, and the summer camps, Project Kindle and OneHeartland. In 2009, Dance Marathon united over 2,500 supporters and grossed $385,000 in financial contributions.

Now in its ninth consecutive year of operation, Dance Marathon has established itself as a tradition on the UCLA campus and in the Los Angeles community. Still a young organization, DM is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to unite students, community activists, celebrities and leaders around the cause of pediatric AIDS. This year, Dance Marathon at UCLA anticipates another monumental celebration of campus unity, entertainment, energy, education, and an ongoing commitment to the cause.

We would like to thank Name Tag, Inc. for their donation of 1100 badge holders! Without companies like them our event would not be possible.
